Borrowdale racecourse on Sunday.
The three-year-old equine athlete was number one on the race card and partnered jockey Gavin Lerena to stop the clock in 1 minute 49. 33 seconds.
Six runners went to the starting stalls for the feature race after Atlantic Star was scratched off from race six.
In the absence of the unbeaten filly Control Freak, which is now racing in South Africa, leading trainer Harris’ Janey came in as the favourite to take the place as the best filly in the country.
The Zimbabwean-bred Janey made sure the trio of Sally Hale, Rose Dorward and Penny Fisher had a smile after winning the US$4 080 which was the winning stakes.
The three women bought the Kitalpha-bred horse as an unnamed yearling at a dispersal sale and decided to name it after their friend and horse breeder Janey Van Nierkerk.
Saivonga (5) with Lance Pagels finished a nose ahead of Solar Impulse.
The Harris yard also won the supporting race — The Borrowdale Sprint 1200m — with the seasoned runner Syracuse romping to victory by 1.25 lens.
Lerena was once again the winning jockey as he beat Lil Abner who had Sherman Brown on board.
The partnership of Brown and Li’l Abner was a lens ahead of Auvergne by Gorkhan Terzi who returned to good form to earn a placing.
Harris racing won five races on the card with Kirk Swanson taking race two and Alyson Wright yard getting race five with Got The Zig.
