Japan supports coronavirus fight

THE Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has joined hands with the Ministry of Health and Child Care to fight the deadly coronavirus.

The agency is offering technical cooperation in the health sector under JICA’s Quality Improvement in the Health Sector Programme.

In a statement, JICA said Japan was supporting Zimbabwe to strengthen capacity at targeted central and provincial hospitals and other health institutions.

“It is JICA’s sincere hope that the support to MOHCC (Ministry of Health and Child Care) through this project will enhance the important activities of the frontline health professionals in Zimbabwe.

“JICA also expresses its deepest condolences to those who lost their lives due to Covid-19 and wishes all patients a speedy recovery.”
