Jaure was helped out of the pitch in the 82nd minute after coming off worse from a bad challenge by the diminutive City player who, somehow, escaped with a yellow from Ruzive in a decision that was a poor one by the respected referee.
The DeMbare defender, who has had his narrow escapes from match officials, said Bamusi deserved a red card.
Dynamos are set to engage Motor Action at Rufaro tomorrow and Jaure yesterday said he was hoping to make full recovery ahead of the match.
“That was a very bad challenge and I think that player deserved a straight red card. I don’t know what his intentions were because he left the ball and went for my foot as I tried to clear the ball.
“The referee, maybe, didn’t have a clear view of the situation and he gave him a yellow card. Otherwise we had played an exciting game with both teams getting their chances although we failed to score.
“Mind you Harare City are not a small team and they had the likes of Martin Vengesai who wanted to prove something. So there was bound to be pressure and the game itself had incredible pace,” said Jaure.
The DeMbare defender was visibly in pain as he limped the last 10 minutes before he was attended to again by the medical personnel at the end of the match.
Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa had earlier been forced to make two injury-induced substitutions by pulling out Gift Bello and Clive Kawinga and by that time of Jaure’s injury, DeMbare had already exhausted their substitutes.
Bello hurt his ankle when he failed to land properly in a tussle for possession 36 minutes into the game and could not finish the first half as he was replaced by Stephen Alimenda.
Then Kawinga sustained a cut on his lower lip when he collided with a City player soon after the restart and the referee Ruzive could not allow him back into the field while he was bleeding.
DeMbare team manager Richard Chihoro yesterday said they will take stock of all their injured players when they resume their preparations this morning.
The bulk of the players who took part on Wednesday were rested yesterday to recharge their batteries after a pressure week that opened with last Sunday’s derby against CAPS United.
DeMbare will miss the services of leftback Ocean Mushure and defensive midfielder Devon Chafa who have been included in the national team for the friendly match against Malawi tomorrow.
Chihoro said they aim to collect maximum points to keep pace with the log leaders Highlanders who beat Monomotapa 5-2 yesterday to open a two-point lead at the summit with 23 points. Dynamos, in fourth place behind FC Platinum and How Mine, are five points off the pace.
“I think the game against City was a balanced affair but we should find ways to win matches consistently. Right now we are focusing on Motor Action and the key is to take our chances in front of goal,” said Chihoro.
Washington Pakamisa has failed to score in the last two matches and it has all come since the coaches changed the striking personnel and replaced Boban Zirintusa with Kawinga.
Instead of being the target man, Pakamisa has now played the last two games as the supporting act, a role played by Boban, and it hasn’t been a fruitful one for him.
Motor Action coach Joey Antipas was also in a good mood yesterday after his side collected a point at Triangle in a 2-2 draw.
Misheck Mburayi and Congolese winger Yves Ebabali scored for them before Limited Chikafa and Courage Denias equalised for the home team although the Mighty Bulls questioned the second goal which they believed was scored through the side net.
Antipas said it was a game of two halves and will be looking for improvements against Dynamos.
The Mighty Bulls coach, who returned home last week from a coaching attachment in Europe, is hoping for a better outcome against the Harare giants this year after collecting just one point in two meetings last season.
“We should not forget that Dynamos are the champions and that they are unbeaten this year but in football everyone has a chance to win. So we are looking forward to the game with a positive mind,” said Antipas.
The Mighty Bulls will have to assess their key players Marlon Jani, Clement Matawu and Passmore Bernard who are among the injury worries.
Bernard was pulled off in the second half against Triangle with an ankle injury while Jani and Matawu were on the sidelines.
FC Platinum who were dislodged from the top by Highlanders yesterday are hoping to raise their game when they face CAPS United at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday after faltering in their last three outings.
The platinum miners lost 1-0 to Hwange at Mandava on Thursday. The defeat came at the back of draws against Monomotapa and Highlanders to leave them on 21 points after 11 starts. FC Platinum coach Tennant Chilumba yesterday said they had learnt their lessons from the setback and are eager to bounce back to winning ways.
“Obviously we are disappointed to lose to a team that is at the bottom of the table. We played very well but I don’t know why the boys were hurrying things in front of goal.
“I think they are trying hard to impress and the moment they start playing to the coach’s instruction the better for us.
“But we should also give Hwange the credit because they came here and battled hard for the three points. It wasn’t an easy game.
“Now we have a bigger game against CAPS United coming up and we would need to make good use of the chances that comes our way. Games are won by scoring goals,” said Chilumba.
