Chicken Inn took over as the leaders in the championship race after a 1-1 draw with Shabanie at Luveve yesterday.
Jaure yesterday insisted they will not be tempted to underrate their opponents, who have a host of experienced players in their fold.
How Mine have had a decent run to date as they currently sit seventh on the log standings halfway through the race.
And with experienced players like Menard Mupera, Hebert Dick, Ocean Mpofu and former Dynamos player Khumbulani Banda, the Dynamos defender said his side is not leaving anything to chance.
“It’s unfortunate I have only been able to watch How Mine in action once when we played them but from what I saw they are a very good team.
“It’s just that it wasn’t their day but in all fairness no one would take the risk to underrate such a talented team with experienced players.
“I am sure they have been working on their mistakes and obviously they have also studied our weaknesses. So this is an entirely new game and we don’t know what to expect,” said Jaure.
Dynamos will be seeking to bolster their campaign in defence of their title as the second round matches of the season kickoff this afternoon.
DeMbare are currently third on the log standings on 28 points, one behind leaders Highlanders and Chicken Inn, halfway through the season.
Jaure believes the Glamour Boys have a strong chance to win the title again this year despite a strong challenge from Highlanders Chicken Inn, CAPS United, Harare City and FC Platinum.
DeMbare have won the title in the last two seasons, narrowly edging FC Platinum in 2011 and Highlanders (last year) in the process.
“Competition is high this year because many teams are playing good football. But we will continue working hard as Dynamos so that we win the championship for the third year running.
“With the league now in the second round, we wouldn’t want to leave it until late. I believe this is the time to win the league.
“Last year we were trailing for the most part of the race and we won it in the last minute on goal difference of which I think we were very lucky to achieve that.
“It was a close contest and we wouldn’t want to win the championship that way again. So every game counts. We need to win consistently going forward.”
Jaure is still doubtful to make the starting line-up this afternoon as he is still recovering from a shin injury that has kept him on the sidelines for the last month. He returned to full training last week and was kept on bench during the BancABC Sup8r Cup against Buffaloes at Gibbo as the team doctors felt he needed more time to rest. “I am not yet 100 percent fit but I must say I am recovering well. This injury was a big setback to me because I should be playing a part in the team week in week out. It’s unfortunate but I am hopeful that I will be fully fit soon,” said Jaure.
DeMbare coach Callisto Pasuwa has been moaning over the injuries in his camp but his options have been boosted with the return of Cliff Sekete, Francisco Zekumbawira and the club’s leading scorer Washington Pakamisa who made the final 18 that left for Bulawayo yesterday.
With striker Patrick Khumbula out injured, Farai Mupasiri might also be given him an opportunity to prove he hasn’t lost his touch.
The coaches were forced to take on board Jaure despite his injury concerns as cover for centrebacks Gift Bello and Augustine Mbara.
DeMbare are facing a serious crisis in defence as their January signings Sydney Linyama and Byron Madzokere cannot play.
Linyama has not been cleared by his club Chicken Inn while Madzokere is out with a persistent back injury.
Dynamos are third on the log table while How Mine, who had a promising start in their debut season, have dropped to seventh following a poor run in their last five outings.
How Mine will miss three players who have been suspended this week after accumulating three yellow cards each in previous assignments.
The Premiership newboys’ coach Philani Mabhena said while the suspension veteran former Highlanders captain Gilbert Banda, Thandazani Ndlovu and goalkeeper Pedzisayi Gumiremhete has compromised their game plan, they still have good replacements.
“Naturally it’s difficult playing against defending champions but we are prepared for it. Dynamos are the biggest team in Zimbabwe and it’s something that is self-motivating to play against such a team,” said Mabhena. Troubled former champions Motor Action will be out to fight against the odds when they host Monomotapa at the Motor Action Sports Club tomorrow.
The Mighty Bulls, who have been experiencing turbulence in the camp because of financial problems, have sunk to second from bottom and desperately need redemption.
Coach Joey Antipas yesterday said they were looking to put their in-house problems behind them in search of maximum points.
“It’s difficult but we have to come up with a winning formula. The spirit is not 100 percent in the camp because of the circumstances we are facing.
“We need to sort out things and it’s up to the guys to come up with a fighting performance.
“Monomotapa, as we know them, are a dangerous side but last week we could have beaten them at Gibbo if we had taken our chances earlier on in the match,” said Antipas
The Mighty Bulls will be without central defender Charles Mutero and Blessing Sande who are suspended.
