SIMBA Bhora administrator, Andrew Javachava, secured his second league title in as many seasons.
He was part of the Ngezi Platinum Stars administration team when they won the championship last year.
Javachava has won the League and Cup winners medals with coach Tonderai Ndiraya.
His recruitment turned into a masterstroke for Simba Bhora.
Javachava began his career as an administrator at the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League.
His work impressed the Ngezi officials in 2016 and they roped him in and gave him the freedom to juggle the roles of team manager and administrator.
And, it turned out to be exactly what the doctor had ordered as they won the Chibuku Super Cup that season.
Those who believe in fate will argue that this was meant to be especially when factoring the money which was invested in this project at the start of the season, including the renovation of Wadzanai, where they have avoided a loss in 16 assignments.
But, to Javachava, what matters the most is expressing gratitude to his late mother, Ebber Judith Javachava, who inspired him to choose this career.
He also thanked Simba Bhora owner Simba Ndoro, executive members, players and fans for making this achievement a reality.
“I want to dedicate this milestone to my mother and may her soul continue to rest in peace for inspiring me to earn a living through football.
“The team have a conducive environment which made my work very easy, and I want to thank everyone associated with the club and mostly the Ndoro family for affording the chance to be part of this project.
“I’m so excited with this achievement and I just hope to do better in my second involvement in the continental football competitions,” said Javachava.
Interestingly, defender Partson Jaure, who is also one of the team’s captains, was also in the Ngezi Platinum team which won the Chibuku Super Cup eight years ago.
