JCC eyes championship glory

Sports Reporter
PAOZ JCC coach, Bishop Never Muparutsa said he is looking up for his boys to win when they face in the Victory Group Harare Christian League DWoFMI at Italian Sports Club on Sunday.
JCC will be crowned champions if they manage to win one of their remaining two fixtures.

“If we win this game we are going to clinch the championship,” he said.
“I am telling the boys let’s just win smart. We should not put ourselves under pressure on the last game against ZAOGA.
“We should just win this game and play the last match as a dead rubber match.
“My boys are raring to go. The good thing is they are coming in numbers and they are excited.
“I hope they all understand the task that is ahead of them because they need to be mentally strong.
“Our opponents always turn out to be strong when they play us because we are always the team to beat and teams seem to adjust because for them getting a point against us is a big achievement for some,” he said.
Muparutsa said it will be a tough game and mental preparedness is very key.
“I am expecting a good run; it will be a tough game. We are not taking DWoFMI lightly. It’s going to be a mental game and they are good about it. So I am preparing my boys mentally than anything so that they will be prepared for whatever that comes through their way,” he said
He added:
“The boys are raring to go and are prepared. We won’t let ourselves lose on the final day. But if we don’t win this one we will win the next one and we will be reigned champions too.”
Mt Hope are second on the log standings with 42 points and four points adrift JCC.
ZAOGA are anchoring at the bottom of the log with 12 points.
