The album comes a year after the release of his last album, Jeys at 40.
In an interview Marabini said that he was working with Austria-based Insingizi Emnyama producer, Dumisani “Ramadu” Moyo.
“We have started recording the album and I am hopeful that by the middle of the year the project will be ready for release. This is something that I am putting a lot of effort into and fans should just wait for the final product and I want to assure them that it will be better than all my previous works,” he said.
Marabini said he was going to spend more time in the studio on the latest project than before because it was a new area.
“I will spend more time in the studio this time. Usually I only spend a few weeks recording a project, but this time I will spend more time on it because this is something that I have not done before and I want to come up with a perfect product,” he said.
Shedding light on his decision to switch styles, Marabini said the decision was inspired by a desire to gain more relevance on the international music scene. He said fans should not despair at the change as his only intention was to also appeal to the international audience.
“The switch to acoustic was inspired by a need to appeal to fans beyond our borders. I also decided to work with Ramadu because he understands international music trends and his production will give my music an international feel. The challenge now is to produce music that meet international standards,” he said.
