Wadawu praised the attendance of the teams as all had equal chances to win that was shown by Jika Jika which is sitting in position 16 on the log standings.
Meanwhile, action in the BPA premiership continued with Raylton stunning Exchange 7-6 in a highly entertaining clash at the weekend.
Raylton managed to end Exchange’s impressive six-match winning streak since the beginning of the second half. The railway man won 5-0 on doubles but failed to repeat their heroics in singles as they lost 6-2.
Raylton chairman Raphael Mukucha said they gave a brave fight.
“The results were impressing, the youngsters need to respect us, we showed them what we are capable of, now we have to build from our superb performance in the upcoming matches,” said Mukucha.
Exchange coach Peter Dziko said the youngsters were relaxed against Raylton and that proved costly.
“The future is bright for the young guys. I guess experience played a part as the youngsters were a bit hesitant, as we just managed to bounce back from 7-0,” said Dziko.
He said they will not dwell much on the defeat but to bounce back to winning ways, as they still aim to finish high.
