Jimu Kunaka out of hospital

Herald Reporter
Former zanu-pf Harare provincial youth chairperson Cde Jimu Kunaka, who was allegedly abducted and assaulted by unknown assailants in Mbare on Wednesday, has been discharged from the Avenues Clinic.

Cde Kunaka was assaulted and later dumped at a secluded place near Seke Road.

Sources yesterday said Cde Kunaka was discharged from hospital on the night of the same day he was admitted after receiving treatment.

Police were still investigating the case and no arrests had been made after a case of assault was opened at Harare Central Police Station.

Efforts to get comment from National Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi were fruitless as his mobile phone went unanswered.

Cde Kunaka yesterday said he wanted to consult with his “bosses” before issuing statements to the media.

His phone later went unanswered.
