JOHN Tallach High School is hosting a two-day Umguza District National Association of Secondary School Heads (NASH) track and field athletics competition, which will culminate in the selection of a district team.

The district team will compete in the provincial finals set to take place at Manjolo Secondary School in Binga next week.
According to the Umguza Head in Charge of Athletics, who is also the host school’s headmaster, Bonakele Ncube, 12 schools are participating in the event, which commenced today and will conclude tomorrow.

“As Umguza, we divided ourselves into two zones: Umguza West and Umguza East. In the East, there are five schools—John Tallach, David Livingstone, Nhlambabaloyi, Madlela, and Sojini,” said Ncube

“In the West, there are seven schools—George Silundika, St James, Nyamandlovu, Mathabiswana, Sigonde, and Sawmills.”
Umguza West are the defending champions.
