‘Join hands with the police’

Mandizha said the villagers should join hands with the police during the period when the force is facing several challenges from the economic sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the West. In a speech read on his behalf by Superintendent Rasboy Kakono during the Hurungwe Service Charter Re-invigoration and Anti-corruption Launch in Karoi last week, Chief Supt Mandizha said the ZRP was not spared by the effects of the illegal embargo.

“While we will try our best with the little resources that we have, you should realise that in essence our relationship remains that of the fish and water. We draw our strength and effectiveness from you. No fish can survive without water.”
Supt Mandizha took a swipe at corrupt police officers saying their days were numbered in the force.
