Journalist authors motivational book

FREELANCE journalist, Mufaro Luckson Pasipanodya has authored an inspirational book titled The Real You — Igniting the Discovery Potential Within.

Although far from being fictional, the book is in the form of a novel, and Pasipanodya said it seeks to re-energise and re-assure people that despite challenges people should remain perseverant in pursuing their dreams.

“As a motivator, I understand that life without inspiration may lose its meaning to many people. The Real You, is an inspirational book that aims at unleashing havoc at the lackadaisical approach to life by many people, yet they possess the artistic tools to massacre fear of the unknown. The book is a kit to inspire the ones with hope long lost to regroup their lives and push towards betterment,” he said.

The book consists of seven chapters namely Be Yourself, Stop Listening To Many Voices, Live Life Your Way, Discovery Is Your Strength, Develop a Positive Outlook, Step Towards Success and Prepare for Tomorrow.

In a world where countries have become integrated and cultural pollution has largely affected African societies, Pasipanodya said the majority of people have allowed themselves to be influenced by other people’s lifestyles.

“Be Yourself chapter motivates people to believe in their own abilities. There are people who always copy other people’s lives. They should understand that when they give too much credence to other people’s opinions, they are portraying themselves as worthless. The book is dedicated to my wife Sthoe and sons Nenyasha and Kunashe. I also dedicate it to all the heroes, who followed their conviction and courageously stood in the good and tough times,” he said.

Pasipanodya thanked everyone who played a role in the authoring of the book.

“My acknowledgements are due to those who knowingly and unknowingly contributed to the success of this book. I would have done great injustice if I had mentioned all the names in this regard. At the same time, it does not amount to a crime to acknowledge veteran motivational speaker Jonah Nyoni who edited the book,” he said.

Pasipanodya is a motivational speaker, teacher, journalist born in Mberengwa. He worked for a number of companies in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana after acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. -@NcubeBhekumuzi
