ZIMPAPERS journalists dominated the Indywood Sports Media Excellence Awards in Harare on Wednesday night.
The journalists were recognised for their exceptional work and coverage of cricket in the country.
H-Metro Editor Robson Sharuko and sports reporter Blessing Malinganiza were among those honoured for their sterling work.
Sharuko, a veteran journalist with a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the sports industry, was recognised for his outstanding contribution to sports journalism.
He has consistently provided readers with informative and engaging sports coverage for more than three decades. Malinganiza was recognised for her dedication, tenacity and commitment to delivering quality sports journalism.

Other Zimpapers reporters honoured were Don Makanyanga (Sunday Mail), Tarisai Danha (ZTN), Ntando Nsikane (ZTN), Tawanda Munthali (ZTN) and Edison Chikamhi (Herald).
“This recognition carries significant importance in an industry historically dominated by men and this award will undoubtedly push me to further shatter barriers.
“I also hope it will serve as an inspiration for other aspiring female sports journalists,” said Malinganiza.
The Indywood Sports Media Excellence Awards were organised by Aries Energy, which owns the Harare Hurricanes franchise, who will take part in the Zim Afro T10 bash, which gets underway today.
