Journos turned away

The pair had travelled to Zimbabwe for unknown business but were turned away by the Immigration Department.

Assistant Regional Immigration Officer Francis Mabika confirmed the incident but declined to give reasons for the denial of entry. “I can only confirm that some two people have been denied entry into Zimbabwe at the Harare International Airport today. I cannot give any details to the incident,” said Mr Mabika.

Investigations by The Herald revealed that the two were American journalists whose purpose of visit was not very clear.
