JOURNALISTS in Manicaland Province have implored Government and other stakeholders to help in establishing a media resource centre in Mutare that will enable them to carry out their duties more effectively and expeditiously.
Mutare Press Club chairman Mr Clayton Masekesa lamented the unconducive environment some of the local scribes, especially freelancers, are operating under; saying a media centre will go a long way in alleviating the situation.
The media play a vital role in societies especially during times like these of the Covid-19 pandemic, he added, thereby promoting the open exchange of information, ideas and opinion among citizens, businesses, political players, and Government.
