Joyous Celebration Choir to share stage with Makhabane

to mark the launch of TN banking malls to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre on May 7.
Arguably one of South Africa’s top gospel groups, the Joyous Celebration Choir will share the stage with Sipho Makhabane, who commands a huge following in Zimbabwe.
Makhabane left lasting impressions the last time that he performed in the country.
The “Vuka Mpefumulo Wami” hit-maker last set foot on Zimbabwean soil during gospel musician Elias Musakwa’s private wedding ceremony where he was one of the guest performers.
With a string of hits to his name, Makhabane is expected to illuminate the launch that will be held under the theme: “Celebrating the Successes of the Year”.
The event seeks to take stock not only of the successes that the bank has scored in the previous years, but also the great strides that Zimbabwe has taken as a nation.
“This is going to be one of the greatest shows ever to be staged in this country,” said an official from the bank.
Other artistes expected to grace the event include Derick Ndzimande, who is also on top of the music game with his powerful gospel gems.
Zimbabwe will be represented by Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, the Charambas, Mahendere Brothers, Pastor G Stanley Gwanzura, Tafadzwa Sadindi and TN Band.
Fungisai is one of the country’s most consistent gospel divas and commands a huge fan base with her hits like “Makomborero” and “Nguva Yekutenda” among others.
Although she is heavily pregnant, Fungisai surprised many with her polished performance at the 21st Movement Gala held at the National Sports Stadium in February.
Mahendere Brothers need no introduction in the music circles. They have come a long way and are popular for hits like “Mapisarema 23”, among others.
The Chitungwiza-based outfit, fronted by Amos Mahendere, always impresses whenever they perform at national galas where their dances and music have entranced many.
The show, however, is strictly by invitation especially for holders of the new TN Smart Card and current TN Cash Card only.
