Judges meet

Chief Court Reporter
Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku is today expected to address a judges’ symposium which seeks to evaluate and reflect on the performance of the superior courts during the first quarter of the year.
The symposium, which will be attended by judges from the country’s Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, High Court, Administrative Court and Labour Court, begins today in Victoria Falls and ends on Sunday.

“The symposium will provide the judges with a platform to exchange notes and look into the challenges facing justice delivery in the country and come up with mechanisms to enhance the justice delivery system,” said Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court Mr Walter Chikwana yesterday.

He said Namibia’s Chief Justice Peter Shivute and that country’s High Court judge Justice Davis Smucs were expected to attend the three-day symposium.
