WHEN CAPS United signed Junior Bunjira at the beginning of the year his father, Alois, felt it was a chance to finally live his dream.
Yesterday, Alois had a chance to watch his technically gifted son, who was introduced as a second-half substitute, and assisted in two of the CAPS United goals.
Makepekepe thrashed Green Fuel 3-0.
“I am just happy, he is so fearless,” said Alois.
“It has always been my dream to watch him play at the highest level.
“I am glad he has made it this early, it means I have got so many years ahead to live my dream and watch him blossom.”
He added:
“As a young player, it means he should give the most in terms of energy if he will make it to the top.
“I believe this is just the beginning for him.
“Let us see how he keeps on developing from here, I will also be there to guide him because I have walked this journey before.
“It is just awesome to watch him doing his thing, I have watched him since he was little and from what I saw, I had no doubt about his abilities.
“He has the potential to surpass what I did, I hope he keeps on improving.”
Junior paid tribute to his head coach, Lloyd Chitembwe, for giving him a platform to showcase his talent.
“It will not be an easy journey and you know what it is like when you are a son to a star…everyone expects you to fit into his shoes.”
