HIGHLANDERS are expecting their supporters to turn out in numbers to back the team in Saturday’s Chibuku Super Cup final against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Barbourfields Stadium.
Bosso said their chapters dotted all over Zimbabwe and outside the country had notified them that their members were heading to Bulawayo for the final. South Africa and Botswana are the foreign chapters that had confirmed that their members will be present at Emagumeni. Because of that, Highlanders are anticipating a packed Barbourfields.
“Our club chapters fan groups from all over the country, South Africa and Botswana have confirmed road shows from their respective bases for tomorrow’s final. We are anticipating a full house,’’ posted Highlanders on their social media pages.
Fans will be able to find their way into the stadium from 11am with Highlanders urging their followers to come early so as to avoid being bothered.
“Gates open at 11am, be there early to avoid inconveniences.”

Winners Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Competition in 2017 and 2019, Ezimnyama Dance Ensemble have been engaged to provide entertainment at Emagumeni.
Khumbulani Moyo the South Africa chapter secretary general said a 16-seater minibus is heading to Bulawayo for the Chibuku Super Cup final. According to Moyo, Nokuthaba Nkala and Fiona Tshuma are the chapters executive members making the journey from Mzansi.
“The person who was organising the transport confirmed that a full 16-seater Quantum which will have the SA chapter’s leadership is coming for the match. Fiona Tshuma and Nokuthaba Nkala are the executive members who will represent us,” Moyo said.
Locally based Highlanders fans are also converging at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo statue in the Bulawayo city centre at midday from where they will then head to the match venue.
Information provided by Ngezi Platinum chief executive officer Nyasha Kadenge showed that three buses are bringing fans to Bulawayo.
“We have three buses coming to Bulawayo, we are looking at having 210 of our fans at Barbourfields on Saturday,” Kadenga said.


Highlanders, winners of the old Chibuku Trophy four times are making their first appearance in the Chibuku Super Cup final. For Madamburo, this is the second time that they are appearing in the country’s only inclusive club knockout competition having won it in 2016 with a 3-1 triumph over FC Platinum.
