JUST IN: Justices Hungwe, Mathonsi sworn in

Chief Justice Luke Malaba swore-in two newly appointed Supreme Court judges, Justices Charles Hungwe and Nicholas Mathonsi, to fill the two vacant posts at the superior court bench during a brief ceremony in Harare today.

The duo was appointed last week by President Mnangagwa from the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) recommended list of the successful candidates of the public interviews held recently. Both judges pledged to be faithful to Zimbabwe and to administer justice to all people without fear or favour. They were among the five judges of the High Court who contested for the two posts through public interviews held recently.

The other three are Justices Felistus Chatukuta, Alfas Chitakunye and Samuel Kudya.
