MATABELELAND South province has started to vaccinate health workers with a target of 5 000 frontline workers drawn from both the public and private sector.

The vaccination programme is happening concurrently in all the province’s seven districts with the provincial first jab being launched shortly after 9AM on Monday at Gwanda Provincial Hospital.
Each person to be vaccinated is set to receive two jabs with the second jab to be inoculated after 28 days.

The first person to be vaccinated in the province Mr Artwell Moyo who is a nurse under the Ministry of Health and Child Care in Gwanda district urged his fellow health workers to play their part in mitigating the spread of the deadly virus through getting vaccinated.
