The National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (Naaz) will host the Open World Olympic Africa Challenge at White City Stadium on June 19, giving local athletes the last chance to qualify for the World Junior Championships to be held in Kenya in August.

Bulawayo Athletics Board (Bab) chairperson Watson Madanyika said: “The meet will give them an opportunity to qualify for the World Junior Championships, an event we are hoping Zimbabwe will have representatives.”

Registration for the meet is now open and registration fees are pegged at $200 for juniors and $300 for seniors per event and per athlete. Relay teams’ entry is $500.
