A new soap opera titled Thekwane that will be set in Plumtree, Bulilima, Tsholotsho and Botswana is inviting actors who want to be part of the project to register for auditions.
The soapie which will air on KeYona TV is a brainchild of budding producer Noreen Moyo.
In a statement, Moyo said those interested should submit their C.Vs by Friday via WhatsApp and highlight which character they want to play.
“. . . carefully study the characters wanted and see where you can make it. Once you spot the role you are interested in, write the name in bold at the top right corner of your Curriculum Vitae and attach a professional headshot of yourself.

“These should be sent to the production manager on WhatsApp,” said Moyo.
The characters include Bokani who is a 55-year-old male dark, medium height and slim, Bakisani medium a 34-year-old male who is dark and always wear formal/smart casual, Hunisani who is a 30-year-old male and is tall, a bit dark, always wears an earring and a hat giving him a gangster look. Others are Nompilo who is 28-years-old, slim and fair- skinned, 28-year-old Nolwazi who is 51-years-old and speaks isiZulu only as she is from KZN. She is fair skinned, beautiful and chubby.
Also part of the cast are Luluma who is Bokani’s sibling, and is a 53-year-old widow and is slim; Kgomotso Ntate G who speaks Setswana fluently and is light skinned, tall and 56-years-old; Tsepo who also speaks Setswana fluently and is 33 years of age; Ntuthuko who is tall, well built with a fair skin; Lebani who is daughter to Lulama –medium built, neither slim nor chubby and is 30-years-old. – @mthabisi_mthire
