“StarBrite is a tried and tested brand that predates the popular Western programmes like ‘American Idol’, ‘Pop Idol’, ‘America Has Got Talent’ and ‘X-Factor’. Pursuant to our original objectives, the team has been working behind the scenes over the last 18 months to revive StarBrite, this time much bigger and more interactive.
“The preparations for next year are already at an advanced stage and with the momentum generated by Season One the producers are confident of surpassing the 7 000 record number of people who auditioned,” he said.
StarBrite is credited for launching musical careers of singers like Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana, Matthew Kaunda and CJ Besa among others.
