Kadoma property developer donates wheelchairs, stands to people with disabilities

A Kadoma property developer and philanthropist, Professor Kudakwashe Taruberekera yesterday donated 15 wheelchairs and

15 stands to people with disabilities.

Of the 15 stands, 10 were handed over to people with various disabilities while the remaining five were distributed to people

with albinism.

The handover was done at Easterlea Primary School in Chikari where Professor Taruberekera through Craft Properties

Holdings, also constructed a classroom block and an ablution facility.

The company also drilled an 85-metre borehole at the same institution through Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).

The classroom block and an ablution facility were handed over to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Torerai Moyo commended public-private partnerships for advancing

infrastructural development in the country’s educational sector.

People with disabilities thanked Professor Taruberekera for the donation saying it was going to transform their lives.
