KELVIN Kaindu, the Highlanders coach, has appealed to the Bosso family to be calm as he looks to steer the Bulawayo giants to success in the League championship race and the Chibuku Super Cup.
The Zambian gaffer has suddenly become a subject of intense criticism within the Bosso family following his side’s 1-4 humiliation by Dynamos in the TM Pick n Pay Challenge Cup at the weekend.
Highlanders have not won a league match against Dynamos in the past eight years.
But Kaindu wants his charges to put behind them the disappointment of their heavy defeat on Saturday as he now takes an aim at the championship race and the Chibuku Super Cup.
Bosso are currently sitting in second place in the league race.
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup will be held today.
“Our desire is to win the Chibuku Cup. The race for the championship is still on and we are going to take each game as it comes,” said the Zambian coach.
“The fans have been behind us (technical team) and the players as well as we try to bring victory for the Bosso family.
“I would like to thank the fans for their continued support to the Highlanders institution.”
Kaindu was under fire from a section of fans after losing the TM Pick ‘n Pay Challenge cup to rivals Dynamos.
The defence was caught on the wrong foot all the time and could not cope with DeMbare’s lightning attacks down the flanks, especially the left channel.
Bosso dropped two crucial points, at home, in a draw against Buffaloes last Wednesday.
The players have also been accused of living in comfort from the salaries they get from BancABC.
