KELVIN Kaindu is a bit cautious as he leads his free-scoring Triangle to Rusape for the second time, inside a week, on a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League date with newboys Dongo Sawmill this afternoon.
The Sugar Sugar Boys head to Vengere looking to continue with their rich vein of form after two comfortable wins at home against Hwange and Chapungu.
The Lowveld side managed a draw against Buffaloes on the road.
“We know it will be difficult playing against a side looking for their first set of points, they played well in their previous games.
“We all know they drew against FC Platinum in Mandava and lost narrowly against Dynamos and despite another loss to How Mine, Dongo are in the same league as other 15 clubs and can’t be considered a small side”, said Kaindu.
Triangle have managed to score nine goals in three games at an average of three goals per game.
Seven different players, including a goalkeeper, one defender, three midfielders and two strikers have registered their names on the score sheet.
“The most important thing is that we have the right balance between attack and defence. We had conceded at an average of 1.5 goals per game before the Chapungu game but the clean sheet we kept reduced the average to one and we’re looking forward to avoiding conceding starting with the game against Dongo”, he said.
Kaindu will miss the services of centreback, Jimmy Dzingai, who sustained a thigh injury in the first half against Chapungu and will be forced to make changes to his regular defensive pairing.
“Jimmy picked up a knock and we had to pull him off at half-time against Chapungu. Team doctor Brian Ziki advised we rest him as a precaution so he isn’t in the squad for this match but will most definitely be available for our home game against Caps United.
“We’ve a team that can start well and if things don’t work out we’ve the right personnel on the bench who can give us a different dimension.”
