DYNAMOS coach Kelvin Kaindu wants to see star midfielder Denver Mukamba playing more minutes and will utilise the current international break to condition him for that.
The Glamour Boys are enjoying a new lease of life under Kaindu, who replaced Saul Chaminuka, five weeks ago.
They have not only shown signs of life but have covered a lot of ground in their fight against the chop.
And central to the Dynamos revival series is Denver, whose return coincided with Kaindu’s appointment.
And Kaindu knows the former Warriors captain can be central to what could be one of the most miraculous escape stories in history.
With no local games to plan for this coming weekend due to the Warriors’ participation in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Friday and next Tuesday, Kaindu said:
“I think the momentum that we have has given us an advantage going into this break.
“We need to work more on our training methods and condition everyone.
“It also gives us, I think a bit of time, to condition Denver more so that he can have more minutes to play.
“His quality and leadership are quite instrumental for our mission. He is a complete player and a leader.”
Although they are still second-from-the-bottom with 28 points after 27 games, Dynamos have managed to take their destiny back in their own hands.
They have managed to score nine goals in four games, three more than what they got in the first 22 games of the season.
“We were not happy when the team scored just six goals in 22 games.
“It’s a challenge that we gave to the team that you can’t play 22 games and score only six goals.
“And, I said let’s try to score and always celebrate. We keep on pushing and I am challenging the team to work hard and this is what we expect.”
Denver has been pushing himself at training and says he wants to continue playing well for the sake of Dynamos and their fans whose love has blown him away.
“I would like to thank God for the talent that he gave me and the gift that has seen everyone loving me,” said Denver.
“My coach is always telling me to keep pushing myself and the youngsters.
“I give credit to those players because it’s not easy to lead them when you are not the official captain.
“But their character is out of this world. I am humbled and very happy.”
Dynamos will host Triangle in their next match
after the international break next week.
