Kandiero’s triple celebrations

LEANDER Kandiero, the veteran journalist who is Zimpapers’ Radio production, development and training manager, has every reason to be happy today.

He is celebrating his birthday and that of the Capitalk 100.4 FM.

In addition, he also marks two decades since he first took his long and fruitful journey in journalism.

Born on January 16, 1979, Kandiero joined the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) Radio in 2001.

After spending 11 years at Power FM, he then moved to the Zimpapers-owned Star FM as a senior producer.

In 2018, he joined Capitalk 100.4 FM as a station manager before he was promoted to his current position.

Zimpapers Radio incorporates Star FM, Capitalk 100.4, Diamond FM and Nyaminyami FM.

The veteran broadcaster boasts 10 awards in his remarkable career.

In 2013, his name appeared among the list of Gorindemabwe’s 100 most influential young Zimbabweans.

For him, today is a very special day.

“This is a special day for me. I am celebrating three things at once.

“I will certainly enjoy this special day to the fullest.”
