AMAZULU FC head coach Craig Roslee has defended former Warriors goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini.
He says the Zimbabwean must not be blamed for the team’s poor performance and goals scored against him this season.
Roslee said the blame must go to all the players. He pointed out that the defenders had not done their role of protecting the goalkeeper from the opposition strikers.
The team’s midfield has also been exposed and found not to be that creative.

Roslee said: “Kapini has done well for the team ever since he joined AmaZulu a few seasons ago from Platinum Stars. People must acknowledge the good things the player has done for the team. The only thing that has blighted his career are injuries. I’m glad that his fitness level is shaping up.”

The AmaZulu coach said Kapini would remain the team’s captain with his countryman Carlington Nyadombo as his vice captain.
Roslee refuses to wear the relegation candidates tag. He believes there are still too many games to be played and anything could happen.

AmaZulu new signings Philani Shange, Siyabonga Mngoma, Tapelo Nyongo, Mfanufuthi Dlamini, Darren Smith, Bornwell Mwape and Paul Were are yet to deliver and show their worth to the Durban side.

Former Warriors marksman Wilfred “Silver Fox” Mugeyi is the team’s assistant coach.
