Kapini gets South African permanent residency

FORMER Highlanders goalkeeper and skipper Tapuwa Kapini has received his South African permanent residency documents and played his first match of the season for AmaZulu over the weekend. The club  had not registered him due to the late arrival of the papers.AmaZulu had indicated that they will not register Kapini as a foreigner since he had applied for permanent residency. It was a winning start for the former Bosso eccentric shotstopper as they beat Ajax Cape Town 2-1 with big defender Carlington Nyadombo scoring uSuthu’s winner in the 48th minute. Another Zimbabwean goalkeeper in the Absa Premiership, Washington Arubi kept a clean sheet for Pretoria University as they held Maritzburg to a nil-all draw.

Cuthbert Malajila and Khama Billiart were part of the Mamelodi Sundowns team that prevailed 1-0 over Golden Arrows while the weekend was a disaster for Knowledge Musona and his fellow countrymen at Kaizer Chiefs as they were beaten 1-3 by a supper charged SuperSport United.

Only Musona played in the match while Warriors returnee Willard Katsande and Kingston Nkhata were not even on the bench.
Mpumalanga Black Aces captained by former Hwange, Shabanie Mine and Caps United player Method Mwanjali were 2-3 losers to Moroka Swallows.

Nyasha Mushekwi’s KV Oostende were 0-1 losers to Lokeren in the same league. In the United States of America, Richmond Kickers home to Joseph Ngwenya emerged 2-1 winners over Charlottee Eagles.
