A 35-YEAR-OLD Karoi man has been taken to court for raping his wife’s young sister while visiting his in-laws. Never Samson was not asked to plead when he appeared before Karoi magistrate Mr Sam Chitumwa last Friday.

He was remanded in custody to March 20.

The court heard that on March 3 this year Samson and his wife visited his in-laws at Deamour Farm, where the couple was asked to sleep in the same room with his wife’s young sister aged 15.

Around midnight when his wife was fast asleep, it is alleged Samson crept into the minor’s blankets, awakened her and threatened her with death if she screamed as he raped her.

Soon after the rape it is also alleged that Samson went outside the room to relieve himself and this gave the girl the opportunity to narrate the ordeal to her sister.

Samson was arrested the following day.

A doctor’s report has since confirmed penetration was effected.
