Katsvairo back in South Africa

ZIMBABWE international Michelle Katsvairo has returned to South African Premiership after completing his move to Free State Stars.

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker has signed a two-year contract with Ea Lla Koto and will be hoping for better luck in the PSL this time after his difficult spell with Amakhosi last time round.

The former Chicken Inn forward, who spent the last six months with Zimbabwean giants CAPS United last year, landed in South Africa on Friday to negotiate for a contract with the club from Bethlehem, and his agent Michael Ngobeni has since confirmed the news.

“Michelle is a Free State player now, two plus one (year contract).” Ngobeni told KickOff.com.

Stars have not had much luck with their strikers this season.

Katsvairo will have hit the ground running to inspire the club up the standings.

Stars, who have scored 15 goals in 18 matches this season, are in 14th place, just five points ahead of bottom of the table Maritzburg United.

Stars coach Nikola Kavazovic confirmed the signing: “Yes I can confirm that Michy is a Free State Stars player. Now it’s up to him how he will play.” — Sports Reporter/Kickoff.com
