The sudden illness of the 88-year-old former president resulted in the cancellation of the funeral service and consequently the burial of his wife, Betty Kaunda. She will now be buried on Friday. Dr Luckson Kasonka, the hospital’s managing director, said Dr Kaunda was discharged late on Monday.
