RALPH Kawondera says he is happy to have been part of the Harare Derby for the first time in his career.

The former FC Platinum player registered his second goal for Dynamos.

Kawondera scored the second goal of the game in their 3-0 win over CAPS United on Sunday.

“I’m happy that wish has come true, playing in the Harare derby means a lot for any player.

“Growing up, I always wished I was one of the players to participate in a game of such magnitude.

“And, I’m happy and grateful to coach Tonde for giving me the chance and platform to play.

“I must say that the atmosphere is something else, it’s different and great, people came in their numbers to support us and I’m glad that we gave them something to go home with, by winning the game.

“We didn’t disappoint them and it’s something we always want to do for them. “I’m happy that we did well and that we won the match in my first Harare Derby.”

Kawondera says he was even happier that he scored.

“I was so happy to score my second goal in the blue shirt.

“Truly speaking, scoring is something that makes you happy as a player.

“My job is to score and I will be happy doing that because I know that I will be doing my job.

“And, I’m hopeful and I pray to God that I keep on doing well for my club and for coach Tonde, who has shown his belief in me.

“I hope that I will be able to keep on scoring, I don’t want to stop. I want to score as many goals as I can.”

He added:

“My season has been okay so far. God has opened another door for me to show the talent that he gave me.

“I just pray every day that I may keep on scoring and assisting my team in any way I can.

“But, so far so good, I can’t complain. My target is to score more and do well for the team,” he said.
