Kazungula bridge complete

Gaborone. — Package one of the Kazungula bridge project, comprising the bridge proper and approach ramps, is complete, according to a media release from the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The release says the bridge, whose construction commenced in 2014 at a contract sum of approximately P1 994 950 041.44 (US$174 184 799.54) was 100 percent complete.

It says package two, being a Botswana one stop border post, currently under construction at a cost of P440 116 275.30, was at 98.44 percent with completion expected end of this month.

Package three, the Zambia one stop border post, ongoing at a contract sum of about P150 441 669.48 (ZMW 263 670 419.98), was at 99.40 percent. — BOPA.
