‘KEEPER’ MAGALANE SHEDS TEARS AS HE APOLOGISES TO CAPS FAMILY

H-Metro Reporter

WALLACE Magalane broke down in tears and apologised to the CAPS United family at a meeting in Harare today called to discuss the two parties’ spectacular fallout.

The meeting was called for by the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe, who were represented by a delegation led by their president Desmond Maringwa.

Magalane was accompanied by his brother while CAPS United were represented by club director Maxwell Mironga and CEO Morton Dodzo.

Marimgwa also ended up apologing to the club after being appraised that Magalane’s fallout with his employers started when he refused to return to the field for the second half of the Triangle game.

This followed a schoolboy error which was committed by the ‘keeper, the latest in a string of high-profile blunders, in the 2-2 draw.

Magalane’s blunders have directly cost the Green Machine at least ten points.

“Wallace cried and the meeting had to be briefly halted to help him calm down,” sources said.

“He kept on saying he was sorry and he said he also wanted to personally apologise to Honourable Farai Jere.

“Even Maringwa ended up apologising to CAPS after Wallace confirmed he refused to come out for the second half of the Triangle game.”

It has emerged that Magalane had, within that short time, turned himself into Jere’s favourite player.

The two parties are now set to part ways with CAPS United paying a settlement fee to nullify their contract.
