DYNAMOS coach Kelvin Kaindu is having the last laugh after his heartbreak early in the season.
After Sunday’s 5-3 Chibuku Super Cup win on penalties over Highlanders at Rufaro, things could not have gone better for the Zambian.
His sacking by Highlanders, his victims yesterday, he admitted on record that it was both unexpected and painful.
And when he joined Dynamos to help them with the relegation fight, few could have thought he would successfully turn around the situation at the Glamour Boys.
Now DeMbare have reached the final of the Chibuku Super Cup final while destiny is now in their hands in the relegation fight.
Given their rich form, they could even finish above Bosso who are also in the relegation mix.
The man who replaced Kaindu at Highlanders, Pieter de Jongh, was left frustrated on Sunday after the defeat.
The match had ended 1-1 in fulltime before the lottery.
“Why is Dynamos playing on Saturday and next week on Sunday? I see no people writing about Dynamos… Think about that,” said De Jongh, arguing Dembare are getting more resting time.
De Jongh also complained about the quick free-kick taken by Dynamos which resulted in their opener, scored by captain Emmanuel Jalai.
“First goal was a big shame,” he said.
