Kenya Airways launches new Boeing aircraft

NAIROBI – Kenya Airways, the country’s leading airliner, unveiled plans to launch a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in an event scheduled for today. The aircraft, beginning next month, will subsequently launch direct flights from Kenya to Guangzhou China amid plans to introduce the aircraft to more intercontinental routes.

The 400 passenger capacity aircraft can accommodate up to 20 metric tonnes of cargo.
“We are excited to be receiving the Boeing 777-300ER.

“It enters into service in November and will be taking non-stop flights to Guangzhou in China,” said the Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Titus Naikuni, ahead of the launch.

The new aircraft, which will be Kenya Airways’ biggest plane, will bring the total fleet the company operates to 45.
The new arrival has a laptop, Wi-Fi connectivity, and flatbed seats with leather footrest, 15.4-inch touch screen monitors for each passenger, power sockets and USB ports on its premier world section.

The aircraft’s first flight will be from the United States to Jonglei region of South Sudan through to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for the launch. – CAJ News
