The Deputy Sheriff has attached property from Rockfoundation Medical Centre owned by Dr Munyaradzi Kereke after he failed to settle a US$20 000 debt. RMC owed Westchase Consultants US$20 640 for services provided to the private hospital. High Court Judge Justice David Mangota ordered that RMC pay Westchase Consultants that sum plus costs of the lawsuit.

“You are hereby and directed to attach and take into execution the movable goods of Rockfoundation Medical Centre of Number 92 Norfolk Road, Mt Pleasant, Harare of the same cause to be realised against the respondent in favour of the applicant the sum of US$20 648 and costs of suit of Westchase Consultants, the above mentioned applicant, which it recovered by the judgement of the High Court of Zimbabwe on 13th February 2014 as more fully appears from the order attached,” a writ by the registrar of the High Court stated.

According to papers filed under case number HC247-14, the property attached by the Messenger of Court includes two ambulances, an X-ray scanner, 20 hospital beds, two X-ray printers, a desktop computer, a scanner, a laptop computer, two sets of sofas and 15 office chairs.

The Messenger of Court also attached medicines and five 100 litre water tanks.
According to Mangwana and Partners Debt Collection department head Mr Tawanda Chitsinde, the goods were attached on Monday.
“The defendant’s goods were attached in the presence of an employee and the attached goods satisfy judgement debt,” he said.
