ZIMBABWEAN forward, Nkosilomusa Khanye has joined newly promoted side Chadibe FC in the Botswana Premier League ahead of the start of the league later this month.
He was previously with Namibian giants, Young Africa FC, where he played 13 games and scored nine goals while providing seven assists.
The striker said he is pleased to have moved to Botswana.
“I feel blessed and happy moving to Chadibe. I believe the side is destined for greater heights in the Premier League. Surely, I’m on the rise. I’m promising goals for the team and help them get to a good position on the log. I also have my eyes set on raising the Zimbabwean flag high,” said Khanye.
The striker spent six months at Young Stars FC, who are a developmental side to Botswana league champions, Jwaneng Galaxy.
Before going to Botswana, the forward played for Bulawayo City Football Club from Under-20 level in 2018 where he had a sensational season, scoring 48 goals and providing 21 assists having played 24 matches.
He was then promoted to the club’s first team, which was in the Southern Region Division One League where he scored nine goals in 17 matches, leading to the team’s promotion to top flight football.
His career hit a downgrade in 2021 when he dropped back to second tier football with Quality Foods Football Club, but the pacey and powerful striker was unfazed by the move. He played six games and scored five goals.
Khanye is capped three times, once for under 17 and twice for under 21 Zimbabwe national teams respectively.
Khanye’s new home, Chadibe gained promotion to the elite league two weeks ago after emerging top of the First Division North League.
Following the club’s promotion, there were reports that the management is contemplating selling the status of the club due to high costs of running a Premier League team.
