Khaya Moyo consoles Prof Ncube

MDC president Prof Ncube’s son, Ntabiso (19), died in a car accident on Saturday.

The accident occurred at about 2am in Greendale, Harare.

In a statement on Sunday, Cde Khaya Moyo said the nation mourned together with the Ncube family.

“I have learnt with profound sadness the untimely demise of Ntabiso Ncube, your beloved son, in an accident yesterday (Saturday) morning.

“Losing such a robust son is a tragedy of unimaginable proportions and the unpleasant pain you and your family are experiencing calls for all of us to pray and seek comfort from the Lord,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

“We share your loss and grieve with you and may his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Police said Ntabiso was driving a Nissan Hardbody when he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a precast wall and died on the spot.

Mourners are gathered at No 130 Matopos Road in Bulawayo and Ntabiso will be buried in Bulawayo today.

Ntabiso was a first-year law student at a South African university. He was in Zimbabwe on a semester break.
