The Communist Party of Cuba has invited Zanu-PF National Chair Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo to that country to exchange experiences on a broad range of areas, including socio-economic development.
Ambassador Khaya Moyo, who is also the Senior Minister of State in the President’s Office, will be accompanied by Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Minister Dr Olivia Muchena and Principal Director in the President’s Office Dr Gatsha Mazithulela.
The visit runs from tomorrow to Sunday.
The delegation will meet members of the Communist Party’s Central Committee and parliamentarians.
In a statement yesterday, Cde Kizito Kuchekwa, the director in the National Chair’s office said, “The delegation will exchange experiences at both Party and State levels encompassing political and socio- economic developments.
“. . .Cuba has assisted Zimbabwe in many areas of development, particularly in science education and provision of medical doctors who operate in many provinces in Zimbabwe.
“The Communist Party of Cuba and Zanu-PF enjoy fraternal relations, dating back to the days of our liberation struggle and post-independence. Cuba provided arms and military training to our liberation forces and training in many other fields during our struggle for independence. Our relations continue to blossom in many fields.”
