HIGHLANDERS’ attacking midfielder Denzel Khumalo was named the Body Works Gym Bosso Player of the Month for September.

Khumalo has been one of Highlanders’ outstanding players this season and becomes the fifth player to win the award since its introduction.

The September award was delayed due to undisclosed logistic problems.

The 20-year-old midfielder was presented with his accolade on Monday in front of his teammates by Body Works Gym manager Donavan Ashborne at the fitness facility.

The award comprises a grocery hamper, training gear and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Ronald Moyo, the Highlanders’ communications officer, said they were grateful to Body Works Gym for the gesture that motivates players and appealed to other corporates to come on board and support the club in different forms.

In September, Highlanders played six games, losing 1-2 to Ngezi, thumping Dynamos 3-0, losing 2-0 against ZPC Kariba, beating Yadah 2-1 and a goalless draw with Caps United.
