Following their Pogues Zim Hip Hop Awards nomination in the Best Group/Duo category, Emganwini rap duo, Killemol has released visuals for their Ndakashatirwa Nhasi track.

The single that features Imbokodo singer Novuyo Seagirl was produced by Loshy and has the trademark belligerent lyrics that the duo of Rodney Mpofu (Ngadlangadla) and Obey Masihoro (Obby Mwanakomana) is known for.

Explaining what the song is about, Ngadlangadla said: “It’s a self-explanatory song. A lot of times we (artistes) complicate the delivery of our messages so much that we confuse the target market and why we make music.

“From our first single up to date, one will realise that Killemol is straight to the point when it comes to conveying messages. This track is about the frustration that artists go through. The gift and the curse of being a talented individual in a place where artistry is not considered as a profession.

“The song also touches on mental health issues affecting the youth from stresses, pressures exerted by society, family and friends through expectations. It was inevitable that after features with artistes like Qeqeshiwe Mntambo, we just had to have Novuyo Seagirl bless our latest offering,” added Ngadlangadla.

The video premiered on YouTube on Saturday. – @eMKlass_49
