ASPIRING Highlanders committee member Kindman Ndlovu has turned out to be one of a kind, as he has quickly taken over the digital streets with his catchy campaign for the post.
In his own words, Ndlovu is leaving no stone unturned as he bids to join the Highlanders leadership.
His campaign, which is in full swing, is different from what anyone has done in the past.
If trends about his campaign on social media were to be used, then Ndlovu would have won the vote. He is popular among citizens. Already, he probably has the Social Media Poll in the bag.
Those in his camp can be seen in neat white shirts accompanied by the cap. He appeals to those who advocate for “young blood” and the “new broom” belief.
His inspiration to contest was largely driven by the need to have young people occupying important leadership positions at Bosso.
“I represent an inspired generation of young people who are committed and passionate about this club and want to stand up and actively participate in positive efforts to make the club successful in its endeavours. I offer to the club a young energetic, committed, and passionate member who will bring with him a set of skills that I feel are currently lacking within the administrative and policy-making structures of the club,” says Ndlovu.
He says his campaign style is a reflection of the innovation he would bring to the club.
“My campaign style has been different because l generally apply myself fully to any task at hand. Similarly, I take these elections seriously and l am trying my best to do everything associated with this club at the highest standard possible. The club members should expect innovation, commitment, top service and dedication.”
“My campaign is going well so far as I continue to interact with different members of the club as l also continue to spread my popularity. I look forward to being elected into the Bosso committee and working with any other executive member,” said Ndlovu.
Ndlovu is fully aware of his expected duties as a committee member.
“I am quite satisfied with the duties of a committee member which are outlined in the constitution as that the committee member will assist in all departments and also perform any other duties assigned to them. I believe my various skills will enable me to effectively stand in at several positions within the executive committee, when the need arises,” said Ndlovu.
The elections are set for 4 February. He will contest against Bheka Sibanda and, maybe, the incumbent Mgcini Mafu who is yet to declare his candidature.
