Young musician King “Kadiki ZW” Alfa has raised concerns over an alleged royalty dispute with producer Major Terro following the success of their song “Yadeuka Yadeuka.”
The song has reportedly passed the four million-view mark on YouTube, just a month after it was recorded, giving the emerging musician a major breakthrough.
However, Kadiki said he is disappointed over some broken promises.
Kadiki said they agreed to a 50-50 split, highlighting he has not received the money he was promised.
He said he believes the agreement changed after the song started performing well.
“We had an agreement with the producer – 50 percent for me and 50 percent for the producer. I trusted that agreement, worked hard, and gave the song my time, energy and heart,” he said.
“It hurts when promises are forgotten after the work has been done. It hurts when what was agreed upon is no longer honoured,” he said.
The young musician said he hopes justice will prevail.
“Behind these 4 million views is a story of hard work, disappointment and pain that many people may never see,” he said.
Kadiki thanked fans for continuing to support him.
