OLEKSANDR USYK has shot to the top of the Ring Magazine’s pound-for-pound rankings after his historic win over Tyson Fury.

Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

And he did so as the first in the four-belt era, replicating the same feat he achieved at cruiserweight.

Here, SunSport runs down Ring’s list of top ten boxers in the world.

1. Oleksandr Usyk

The Ukrainian, 37, has risen from third to first after his victory over Fury.

His unbeaten record as a two-time undisputed champ, with wins over Anthony Joshua, 34, and Fury, 35, only add to his claim as world No1.

2. Naoya Inoue

The Japanese star, 31, is up a place after knocking out Mexican Luis Nery, 29, to retain his undisputed super-bantamweight crown.

Inoue has 24 KOs in his 27 undefeated fights and stands as one of the biggest punchers in the sport.

3. Terence Crawford

The American, 36, has been knocked off the top after Inoue and Usyk’s most recent wins.

But Crawford returns on August 3 against Israil Madrimov, 29, for the WBO light-middleweight title which gives him the chance to become a four-weight champ.

4. Canelo Alvarez

Boxing’s top attraction remains in the top four after beating countryman Jaime Munguia, 27.

He retained all his 168lb super-middleweight titles but Canelo’s next move remains uncertain.

5. Artur Beterbiev

The Russian, 40, is boxing’s only champion with a 100 per cent KO ratio from his 20 fights and was due to return against Dmitry Bivol, 33.

But the light-heavyweight undisputed decider has been postponed after Beterbiev suffered a knee injury.

6. Dmitry Bivol

The unified champ was left heartbroken after his mega-fight with Beterbiev got scrapped.

But he still returns on the same card against replacement opponent Malik Zinad.

7. Errol Spence Jr

Texan Spence, 34, is yet to return since his defeat to Crawford with questions raised on how he remains in the top ten list.

But he has eyed a return up in weight against 6ft 6in super-welterweight champ Sebastian Fundora, 26.

8. Gervonta Davis

Tank, 29, is emerging as one of the biggest box office draws in the sport and most recently stopped Ryan Garcia, 25, in April 2023.

He defends his lightweight title on June 15 in Las Vegas against Frank Martin, 29.

9. Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez

The flyweight, 24, moved to 19-0 with a stoppage victory over Sunny Edwards, 28, in December.

He became unified WBO and IBF champ with the biggest win of his career.

10. Junto Nakatani

The three-division champ currently reigns in the bantamweight world with the WBO belt.

And he is flying under the radar as one of the world’s best by moving up the weights in brutal fashion. — Sun.
