KINGS disappointed Entumbane to keep their championship hopes alive in a Bulawayo Pool Association League match played over the weekend.
Kings won 7-6 against Entumbane in a fierce encounter between the league’s top two teams. Their win took them to 51 points and they are now level with Entumbane who however remain on top of the log standing on superior frame. Kings captain Paul Mutizo was in a jovial mood after they managed to stage an upset against the championship favourites Entumbane.
“It was a tough match considering we were coming back from a defeat but I am happy we collected valuable points against them (Entumbane),” he said.
Mutizo said the title race was now wide open again.
“Now it is an open race and I believe we are in the right track for the championship if we win all our remaining matches,” said Mutizo.
Terrence Mhindu, the Entumbane captain however said they remain the championship favourites.
“We have just suffered a setback but I believe we are still on the right track to win the championship,” said Mhindu.
