CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League Golden Boot winner Knox Mutizwa is today expected to pen a three-year deal with South Africa Premiership side Bidvets Wits, sources have revealed. Mutizwa, who flew out of the country yesterday afternoon, has been in terrific form for Highlanders this year and was instrumental in Bosso’s 2-1 win over Dynamos in the semi-finals of the Easycall Cup on Sunday.

“It’s a done deal. The club was impressed by his performance during trials and we’re told that their technical staff also watched the Easycall Cup semi-final and were impressed with his performance,” said the source. Mutizwa confirmed that he was already in South Africa but could not shed more light on the contract talks.

“I’m here in South Africa after the club called me on Sunday. I think we’ll finalise things tomorrow (today) but it looks like they’re really interested in me,” said Mutizwa. Efforts to get a comment from Bidvest Wits were in vain yesterday as their office phones rang unanswered.

With Bosso storming into the final of the Easycall Cup against city neighbours and league champions Chicken Inn, Mutizwa could bid the Highlanders faithful in dramatic fashion by leading Bosso to silverware.
